Sparks Mentorship Program : Student Mentorship Agreement
Following are the key responsibilities of the mentee during the mentorship program.

Engagement and Participation:

Drive the process and set goals for the overall mentorship as well as for each meeting.

Initiate scheduling of all sessions.

Actively participate in all scheduled mentoring sessions.

Arrive on time and prepared for each 90-minute quarterly meeting.

Be open to learning, sharing experiences, and discussing challenges.
Communication:

Maintain regular communication with the Mentor, including timely responses to emails or messages.

Inform the Mentor in advance of any scheduling conflicts or necessary changes to meeting arrangements.
Goals and Objectives:

Work with the Mentor to set clear, achievable goals for personal, academic, and professional development.

Regularly review and update these goals as needed.
Confidentiality:

Respect the confidentiality of discussions with the Mentor. Information shared in mentoring sessions should not be disclosed without mutual agreement.
Feedback and Evaluation:

Provide constructive feedback to the Mentor and program coordinators.

Participate in periodic evaluations to assess the progress and effectiveness of the mentoring relationship.
Self-Development:

Take initiative in your own development. Utilize the resources and guidance provided by the Mentor to enhance learning and growth.

Reflect on experiences and feedback, using these insights to improve and develop new skills.
Professional Conduct:

Maintain a professional demeanor during all interactions with the Mentor and within the program.

Adhere to the ethical standards and policies of your college.

Term of Agreement:
​

This agreement is effective for the duration of the one-year mentoring program. The Mentee is expected to commit to the program for its entirety to ensure a meaningful and productive mentoring experience.
